High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.)

This is a 60 minute, fat-blasting interval training class that will challenge your heart and soul. No steady state cardio in this class! We will alternate our bodies between intense bursts of activity, pushing ourselves into our anaerobic zone, and follow that up with less intense recovery periods. These short, intense bursts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, improved glucose metabolism, and improved fat burning.

Not only do you burn more fat and calories during a HIIT workout, but you also burn more fat and calories in the 24 hours after a HIIT workout than you do after steady state cardio. No fancy choreography here...we will be getting back to the basics: high knees, burpees, jumping lunges, push-ups, and some serious ab work. This format offers seasoned exercisers a new challenge and new exercisers a quick way to see results. All that I want for you to do is show up, move your body, get a little sweaty (or a lot), work out your stress and shine up your soul.

About The Instructor, Jody Eaton
I want to be able to do a split when I’m 80! That’s my why. In order to do a senior split, it requires two things. That I will be living at 80, obviously, and that I will have the flexibility needed. That’s why I put my sneakers on everyday and move my body. That’s why I keep my weight at a healthy level. That’s why I stretch and drink a gallon of water each day.

What’s your why? This is the question that I ask all of my clients and class-goers, also known as Team SoulShine. If you’re reading this that means you’re interested in being fit and healthy and that’s the first step. My job is to inspire you to turn your interest into motivation and ultimately into amazing lifelong healthy and happy habits! Your job? Figure out your why, throw on your sneakers, make a date with me, and be inspired.

Jody Eaton, owner of SoulShine Training, is an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and Group Fitness Instructor who teaches HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), PiYo, classes at the Rec Center. Her goals are to help people move better, feel happier, and improve their quality of life. She has a passion for health, nutrition and fitness.
